This position is located in a State or Area Office in USDA/Rural Development (RD). This vacancy announcement is open to current Rural Development State of Louisianna employees only. This position is neither remote nor virtual. The employee will be expected to report in person to the assigned duty location.

Duties

Incumbent provides guidance to applicants, the public, and interested parties on program procedures, policies, and requirements for submitting applications Identify and develop training needs to facilitate maximum program participation. Works with State Office Business Program Director to schedule and identify priorities related to program. Coordinates program outreach and technical assistance services with staff helping identify opportunities to help constituents benefit from grant program and activities. Ability to utilize Rural Development automation data systems, reporting systems, spreadsheets and other automated analytical software.

Requirements

  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. Time in grade GS-11 level: Applicants must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09; or its non-Federal equivalent that demonstrates experience reviewing grant applications for accuracy to ensure compliance with procedural and regulatory guidelines. Experience assisting with completion of grant program evaluations to ensure the programs effectively carried out and consistent with National or State policy and procedures. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related OR a combination of education as described and specialized experience. NOTE: To be considered for this position, you must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements for the 1165 series set forth in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards by the closing date of the announcement.
