As Program Manager in NASA's Earth Science Technology Office (ESTO), you will work with Earth Science Division (ESD) senior leadership to ensure project management, technical direction, cost and schedule control for specific technology operations activities, and manage a technology program element that funds development of technologies through the Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Science (ROSES) solicitations.
Duties
Manages technology research developments including tracking and reviewing the technical, schedule, and financial progress of individual grant awards, along with tracking the technology readiness level assessments.
Reviews progress reports submitted by the principal investigators and conducts annual site visits at the technology development venues.
Leads and organizes technology working groups to define and prioritize technology needs for the development of Earth Science Instruments and activities for Earth Science missions.
Organizes and leads multi-Center and external system analysis and trade studies to support investment strategies and delineate projects with emerging technologies.
Participates in the development of new technology planning thrusts, studies and outreach activities.

Requirements
- Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.
- Selectee will have a designated "Home Center" of GSFC, but will be expected to also support programs or projects in person at NASA Headquarters.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-15, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level:
Overseeing the planning, design, operation, and quality assurance of a program;
Contributing to and executing program and agency level policies, plans, and procedures for the development of Earth Science technologies;
Providing advice and assessments concerning programs operations, problem areas, and capabilities.
