Duties
You will serve as a Contract Specialist assigned to the Contracts Directorate of the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR).
You will assist the Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) in providing business advice to the customer in formulating acquisition strategies from requirements definition through the life of the system.
You will perform all pre-award and post-award functions, using a wide range of complex contracting methods and complex and hybrid contract types.
You will assist in the preparation and maintenance of acquisition plans, appropriate milestone charts, and related schedules. Assists in the preparation of statements of work.
You will prepare determinations and findings, solicitation documents, and the contractual vehicle.
Requirements

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or DP-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: The incumbent will use their demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing business advice to the customer and support to the Contracting Officer in planning, negotiating, and administering contracts of various types and complexities.

Education
A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major in any field;
