The incumbent serves as a Materials Handler for the Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) with responsibility for the proper receipt, storage and issues of all supplies and equipment.
Duties
Major Duties and Responsibilities include:
Unloads incoming shipments, verifies receipt, and matches shipping documents and receipts.
Processes receiving reports promptly after receipt of merchandise (including partial shipments) to ensure payment to vendor in a timely manner.
Maintains proper storage of items after processing, pending delivery to appropriate section.
Sort product by product lot number, expiration date, and zone.
Screens shipping and receiving documents to identify discrepancies.
Work Schedule: M-F; 6:00am-2:30pm (EST) or at the discretion of the supervisor and the needs of the agency.

Physical Requirements:
Physical Effort: Materials Handlers are often required to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods of time, and to bend, stoop, and work in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions. They may lift and carry items that weigh up to 40 pounds. The heavier items are moved with weight handling equipment or with assistance from other workers.

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities.
