This position is located in the Office of the Under Secretary for Economic Growth, Energy, and Environment, Office of Global Partnerships (E/GP). E/GP’s mission is to conduct private sector engagement and build and institutionalize public-private partnerships that advance the Department of State’s foreign policy goals.
Duties
E/GP directly supports the administration’s imperative to advance American leadership through balanced engagement, as well as protect America's security and renew its competitive advantage for sustained economic growth and job creation. E/GP conducts private sector engagement to advance the Department’s top policy priorities and works to institutionalize private sector engagement across the Department.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret-SCI security clearance.
- Incumbent will be subject to random drug testing.
- Requires a financial disclosure statement, OGE-278.
- Verification of employment eligibility in the United States is required.
Qualifications
Applicants MUST meet the qualification requirements described below:
All applicants must submit separate narrative statements covering the Mandatory Technical Qualifications (MTQs) listed below in order to receive consideration for the position. When addressing to the MTQs, you must clearly show that you possess the experience, knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position. Your narrative response to the MTQs should be clear and emphasize your level of responsibility, scope, and complexity of programs managed, program accomplishments with results of your actions, policy initiatives, and level of contacts. Include in your responses all efforts/accomplishments related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) initiatives. Your narrative response is limited to two (2) pages per MTQ.
For this position, applicants' experience and resume should explicitly demonstrate the following:
MTQ 1: Demonstrated expertise and comprehensive experience in the leverage of U.S. Government resources with private sector resources through public-private partnership initiatives (exclusive of grant programs) and the building of significant private sector commitments to meaningfully advance the top U.S. diplomatic and economic goals at a highly complex U.S. foreign affairs agency. This includes strategic foresight on planning and implementing private sector engagement strategies for a highly complex U.S. foreign affairs agency.
MTQ 2: Demonstrated deep and comprehensive experience in thought leadership and inter- and intra-agency coordination and collaboration, including engagement across the U.S. Government and the private sector, pertaining to a USG agency’s private sector engagement and partnership strategy, specifically private sector engagement initiatives that advance top U.S. foreign policy priorities and align with U.S. national security goals.
