This position is located at Shemin Fitness Center. Duties

Incumbent works under the direction and reports to the Support Services Specialist. Receives, interprets, initiates, and processes maintenance requests for repairs or services. Coordinates the initial and long-term planning for the maintenance of all material and equipment utilized by the installation. Oversees a comprehensive preventive maintenance program and coordinates on-demand maintenance. Serves as warranty coordinator by monitoring and maintaining reports of equipment under warranty. Ensures the program performs within budgetary constraints with purchases, repair parts and supplies. Inspects and diagnoses equipment to make a determination on the best means to repair equipment. Coordinates appropriate course of actions for repairs. Identifies equipment to be salvaged or what disposition should be made.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Must be available to work Monday through Friday 0800-1630 and holidays.

Qualifications

Experience that demonstrates the knowledge, methods, and procedures required to manage and perform the multiple functions of the position (maintenance administration, equipment repair services). ** Highly Preferred - Resume must demonstrate experience in the highly preferred criteria. ** 1. Must have experience with maintenance and repair of fitness equipment. Applicants that meet the Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first. All others may be referred if management does not make a selection from the Highly Preferred list.
