You will serve as a ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS in the OFFICE OF CIVILIAN HUMAN RESOURCES OPERATIONS.
Duties
You will makes recommendations on a variety of administrative issues and conduct highly complex and ambiguous assignments utilizing untested methods and procedures to resolve systemic problems impacting the organization.
You will prepare comprehensive reports to ensure that senior management is provided with clear and concise recommendations, analysis, evaluations and interpretations concerning plans, policies and programs.
You will work with Directorate leadership to identify, or exclude, potential problems and determine financial, material, manpower and information resources needed to execute the mission requirements.
You will provide rapid and effective response to requests and directives pertaining to plans, programs, policies, procedures, objectives, operations, reviews, and reports pertaining to the mission.
You will respond to to near-term requirements impacting Operations policies and programs, conducts short-term analysis, oversees projects, and coordinates staff actions which cross normal staff boundaries as assigned by the Director.
You will respond to external requests for information from the Department of the Navy, Congress, and Department of Defense by providing briefings, information papers, and analytical planning documents.
You will direct the implementation of new programs and plans to ensure that the organization is in compliance with higher policy and guidance.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating program operation requirements to provide oversight and guidance on the development and implementation of business or administrative processes and procedures in support of mission or stakeholder objectives.
