The position is assigned to the shipping section & is subject to rotating assignments within that unit. This unit is responsible for all orders being distributed to Medical Centers in this district.
Duties
Major Duties:
Assemble loads from quotas.
Stacking items on carts for effective utilization of space.
Tagging carts for proper destination and loading carts on trucks and trailers.
Ensure linens are collected, separated and recorded.
Maintains accurate shipping records.
Rotating stored stock.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Physical Requirements: You will be required to lift stacks and bundles of linens, weighing 25-30 pounds and push heavy load carts onto trucks and trailers. Walking, stopping, and bending is frequent. Work is performed on concrete floors. Working in storage areas and loading dock, you will be exposed to drafty, varying temperature changes throughout tour of duty. Works around moving carts in a noisy, hot, humid environment.
