You will serve as a Lead Security Guard in the Commander, Security Office of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Duties
You will stand at assigned post during shift hours at all Entry Control Points (ECP) accessible during their specific shift or perform security patrols as directed in accordance with security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
You will ensure general guard force is properly carrying out the duties of each specific post as assigned during shifts.
You will control access to the facility by maintaining surveillance through rover duties of standing post at all ECPs enforcing all security rules and regulations set in place in accordance with their SOPs.
You will monitor situations for public safety and security and reporting to proper authorities any suspected violations.
You will enforce any special orders and implement any additional security checks or procedures in these areas.
You will assist the Branch Head and Division Head with setting shift schedules and updating SOPs.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You must take and pass a pre-employment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain required certification and/or license as a condition of employment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Controlling personnel access by verifying identification; 2) Enforcing security measures required to protect personnel, materials, and property and advise supervisor on crime prevention matters; 3) Providing guidance on security matters as it relates to security guard functions and procedures; and 4) Providing instructions and training to employees.
