This position is located in Virgin Islands National Park, in the Administration Division.

Duties
As a Supply Technician, you will perform the following duties:
Preparing quarterly plan for the acquisition and disposal of excess property.
Locating surplus property, determines age and probable condition by checking records, contacting local vendors, and making physical inspections.
Conducting physical inventories, accounting for property in assigned functional areas.
Receiving requests for reports of excess personal property and takes appropriate action.
Maintaining personal property inventory system of records.
Preparing reports of lost, damaged, or destroyed property.
Providing acquisition, utilization, protection, and disposition of federally owned personal property.
Maintaining the currency of designations.
Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.
Qualifications
All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-12/02/2024-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement.
Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or part-time or total number of hours worked (i.e., work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience.
To qualify for this position at the GS-05 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: Assisting with conducting physical inventories. Assist in advising and developing procedures for marking and maintain accountability of property.
You must include hours per week worked.

EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least four years of education above high school graduation (120 semester hour or 180 quarter hours) leading to a bachelor's degree. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. You must include transcripts.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Combinations of successfully completed education and specialized experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. To compute this percentage, first divide the total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide the number of completed post-high school education semester hours of education (that are in excess of 60 semester hours) by 60. Add the two percentages together; the total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. NOTE: Only post-high school education in excess of more than two-years may be used to qualify for this position. You must include a copy of your transcripts.
To qualify for this position at the GS-06 grade level, you must possess following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: Assisting in preparing quarterly plans for the acquisition and disposal of excess property. Assist in analyzing value of excess property acquisition. Conducts physical inventories. You must include hours per week worked.
To qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level, you must possess all of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: Prepares quarterly plans for the acquisition and disposal of excess property. Analyzes value of excess property acquisition. Conducts physical inventories. Advises and develops procedures for marking and maintain accountability of property.
You must include hours per week worked.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify based on education, you must submit a legible copy of transcripts from an
accredited institution with your name, school name, credit hours, course level, major(s), and grade-point average or class ranking. Transcripts do not need to be official, but if you are selected for this position and you used your education to qualify, you must provide official transcripts before you begin work.

education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet qualification requirements, you must show that your education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
