You will serve as a Security Assistant in the Strike Fighter Weapons School Pacific (SFWSP) of STRIKE FIGHTER WING PACIFIC STAFF. You will execute Personnel and Information Security programs for the command and assist the Security Manager in the administration for the Automated Data Processing Security, Special Security, and Physical Security programs.
Salary Ranges: GS-05: $39,688 - $51,592; GS-06: $44,242 - $57,516.
Duties
You will assist the Security Manager in overall short and long-range planning and policy formulation for technical and administrative matters within command level security control and cognizance.
You will assist in the execution of personnel and information security programs for the command and assist the Security Manager in the administration of the automated data processing for security programs.
You will receive, distribute, mail and control classified materials as required.
You will conduct inventory of classified material.
You will coordinate and/or conduct destruction of classified material.
You will be responsible for initiation, preparation, mailing and tracking of personnel security check and investigation forms, requesting final clearance adjudication of personnel backgrounds.
You will prepare and track permanent and visitor security badge requests and maintain files of security information.
Requirements

- This is a bargaining unit position.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must sign a non-disclosure agreement and when required must submit to and pass a polygraph examination.
Qualifications
FOR THE GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing clerical or administrative support functions for an information security or personnel security program.
FOR THE GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing clerical or administrative support functions for a security program.

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
FOR THE GS-06:
Successful completion of one full year of graduate level education that is directly related to the position being filled.

A combination of specialized experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required graduate education plus the percentage of the required specialized experience equal one hundred percent.
FOR THE GS-05:
Successful completion of four years of education above high school level.
-OR-
A combination of specialized experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required specialized experience equal one hundred percent.
