You will serve as a Facility Operations Specialist of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT in Philadelphia Pa.

Duties

You will provide oversight and coordination for the execution of day to day facility related operational support services to NAVSUP WSS directorates who reside in NAVSUP WSS designated buildings. You will assist the Building Manager and Facilities Operations Managers with the management, coordination and execution of all facility related maintenance, repairs and projects. You will negotiate any changes in scope with customers and NAVFAC personnel as necessary to accomplish requirements in the most efficient and economical means possible. You will design and manage space planning projects from beginning to end by creating a Statement of Work, AUTOCAD plans and work package indicating the selection of furniture, carpet, wall finishes, and cost estimate.

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes the following: 1) Coordinating major work requirements associated with inspecting, monitoring, and managing facilities sustainment, repair, and maintenance, construction projects, and service contracts; 2) Resolving issues of facilities work order status, priorities, milestones, tracking procedures and schedules to eliminate conflicts and facilitate timely project completion; 3) Responding to customer inquiries regarding status of facility repairs; 4) Applying a basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to track preventive maintenance, and work order completion; 5) Proficient in the use of MAXIMO, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and AutoCAD. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
Possession of an LL.M., if related
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
