Duties

You will receive, review, screen and execute a large volume of high priority and constrained lead time forms, purchase requests and purchase orders. You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of the status of all materials and services that could impact production timelines. You will perform Research in different automated computer programs, web information systems and catalogs to obtain stock numbers and determine substitutes for items not readily identifiable and/or differentiated from others. You will document all purchases placed against the credit card in accordance with current regulations and instructions. You will resolves all discrepancies with material orders to include arranging for the replacement, exchange or return for credit of defective and / or erroneous materials and transportation. You will type letters, reports, tabulated material, memoranda, and other related documentation in either rough draft or final form.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Organizing and tracking inventory of supplies for proper disposal of excess items. 2) Researching supply regulations, policies, procedures, techniques and methods to assist higher level technicians with purchasing. 3)Tracking inventory of various supplies by entering data into an automated supply system (e.g., Maximo). **NOTE** This information must be supported by your resume in order to be considered for this position.
