This position is located with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Northwest Region, Yakama Agency, Division of Trust Services, Forestry in Glenwood, Washington.

Duties
• Perform administrative duties and serve as the records control clerk for the Forestry ranger station.
• Maintain office automation correspondence tracking systems.
• Provide input and review all correspondence and documents to ensure that position, policies, and direction is accurately stated, and all information is properly coordinated.
• Receive and process all incoming in-coming and out-going correspondence and data.
• Responsible for all financial documents such as travel, training, purchase orders, print orders, and supplies.
• Ensure that incoming mail is properly received and routed, retaining that which can be answered personally by reference to policies, precedents, or knowledge of office practices.
• Responsible for the preparation of a variety of correspondence and documents, such as letters, requisitions, purchase orders, travel authorizations, and reports.
• Perform or assist with a variety of assignments involving gathering data, analysis, and development of responses to inquiries.

Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: (OPM Operating Manual, Qualification Standards for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions, GS-0303).
GS-6: 1 year of full-time specialized experience or the equivalent, comparable to at least the GS-5 in the Federal Service (obtained in either the public or private sector). This experience must include the following: preparing and reviewing correspondences, timekeeping, travel arrangements and processing financial documents; maintain filing and record systems; logging information into databases; answer telephones, greet and assist clients/visitors; ensuring all requests for action or information are acted upon and due dates are met.
