This position is part of the Training Center Garrison Command, located in Camp Bowie, Brownwood, Texas. The purpose of this position is to manage and direct the activities of the Operations and Training Division assuring ranges, training facilities, training aids and devices are available to users of the training site. Texas is one of 9 states with NO state income tax.

To be considered for qualification, your resume must include relevant experience with beginning and ending dates of employment/experience reflecting the following: Minimum Qualification Requirements:Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems. Specialized Experience Required To qualify at the GS-9 grade level, your resume must include relevant experience with beginning and ending dates of employment/experience reflecting: One year of specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Must have experience providing technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of administrative procedures and practices of management. Experience developing administrative procedures. -Or- Must have a Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or, 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or, LL.B. or J.D., if related. -OR- Must have a Combination of Education and Experience. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade level GS-09, and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants. Education

Substitution of Education for the Specialized Experience:

In addition, completion of courses such as the Officer Advanced Course, Squadron Officer School, Command and Staff College, Air and Army War College, National Security Management Course and others of comparable level will be credited at the rate of 1 month of education for 2 months of specialized experience.
