About the Position: This position serves as a technical expert within a multi-functional team managing ammunition logistics programs, and coordinating and integrating acquisition and logistic functions on assigned ammunition items.

Duties

Coordinates and accomplishes planning, development, and execution of ammunition logistics lifecycle management programs. Develops strategies to streamline ammunition logistics activities for Army and other service customers. Provides guidance and program management to assigned items which includes formulating, coordinating and implementing ammunition logistics. Identifies potential problems concerning logistics readiness mission performance and resource availability within the Command.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. If the security clearance is denied or revoked, the individual may be denied or removed from the position, accordingly.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Advanced Certification within 48 months of entrance on duty.
  • Must file financial statement.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Evaluating data from ammunition logistics lifecycle management and logistics systems; (2) Reviewing ammunition program management regulatory guidance such as receipt, storage, issue, transportation, inventory, and maintenance; utilizing logistics systems to perform logistics analysis; (3) Assisting in the coordination and/or execution of ammunition acquisition, production or sustainment action; AND (4) Reviewing logistic activities from Army, Foreign Military Sales and/or other joint services customers. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Organizational AwarenessPlanning and EvaluatingStrategic Thinking Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Applicants must confirm eligibility and minimum qualification requirements within 30 calendar days of the closing date of the announcement.
