You will serve as an EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST in the EQUIPMENT READINESS BRANCH, EXPEDITIONARY MAINTENANCE DIVISION of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER.
Duties
You will provide equipment expertise for Civil Engineering Support Equipment (CESE) and Civil Engineer End Item (CEEI).
You will collect, analyze, interpret, and develop specialized information about CESE and CEEI equipment,
You will provide technical data for procurement packages as related to CESE/CEEI procurements, and/or
major modifications.
You will review technical equipment data for standard equipment and recommend additions, deletions or changes to the data to ensure its accuracy, consistency, modifications to equipment, stocking locations and other information that are made.
You will provide on-site maintenance assistance and training.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- You must possess or have the capability to acquire a Class A commercial driving license and the required endorsements within 12 months of the effective date.
- You will be Required to obtain and maintain a valid U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator's Identification Card (OF-346) that annotates the size and type of vehicles approved to operate to include forklifts rated up to 60,000 pounds.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Collecting, analyzing, interpreting and developing information about equipment operations and parts; 2) Ability to develop and analyze information about the equipment and make technical recommendations based on the principles, practices and procedures used in the design, procurement, construction, overhaul, operation, supply, maintenance, modification and repair of complete equipment systems and groups of assigned parts and/or subassemblies; 3) Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams of equipment and vehicle schematics; and 4) Using computer systems to operate computers on a daily basis to research equipment information. Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
