This TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST is located in the United States Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO) and is part of the CA USPFO Army.
Duties
THIS IS A T5 EXCEPTED SERVICE, PERMANENT POSITION
The primary purpose of the TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-2130-9, is to plan, manage and direct the daily Commercial Traffic Management Program for both equipment and passenger movements; develop traffic management programs for both peacetime and wartime; provide technical traffic management advisory services; establish operating requirements; and formulate local commercial traffic management policies. Incumbent may be appointed as the Container Management Officer and as the Assistant Contracting Officer Representative (ACOR).
Qualifications
TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-2130-9: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector, but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Managing or participating in managing a transportation or traffic program involving (1) operating a transport or traffic system to move passengers or commodities of an organization when there is accountability for operating costs, (2) operating a transportation system to provide common carrier types of services to shippers, and (3) procuring common or other carriers and other transportation services to move an organization's personnel, freight, and/or other commodities; Conducting or participating in conducting surveys and studies of the traffic management function, operating methods, procedures, and performance; Making presentations on traffic matters before Federal, State, or local regulatory bodies.

Education
