You will serve as an INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the ORDNANCE SUPPLY DEPARTMENT of NMCLANT UNIT CHARLESTON SC.

Duties

You will provide technical assistance in areas of specialized ordnance management. You will maintain documentation file in accordance with regulations. You will analyze, plan, and coordinate layouts of warehouses, sheds, magazines and outside storage areas on basis of type material. You will manage ammunition components and hardware to maintain accountability of assets. You will receive Naval Ammunition Reclassification (NAR) messages and adjust records. You will produce the yearly physical inventory schedule of locations requiring annual/semiannual counts. You will receive, review and monitor incoming requisition to ensure completion. You will use automated systems to verify availability of material. You will receive, review and monitor incoming requisitions and take appropriate action to ensure completion. You will coordinate with segregation or production when necessary to fulfill requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear or use protective clothing or equipment of the type approved by the safety department when needed for the safe performance of work.
  • You will be required to report immediately to the supervisor any accident resulting in property damage.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying knowledge of ordnance physical inventory requirements and procedures. Experience using ordnance automated systems to verify availability, issue and receive ordnance. Experience producing reports on ordnance space utilization, storage capabilities, space availability, storage compatibility and magazine data. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
