About the Position: This position is with the U.S Army Sustainment Command, 404TH Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Maintenance Division, located in JBLM, WA.

Duties

Handles supply transactions using automated systems. Monitors inventory of specialized items to ensure critical supplies are received on time. Prepares reports a to track supply activities. Investigates supply problems such as missing or damaged items, ensuring that issues are properly documented and fixed. Provides training to team members on supply processes. Manages equipment records by working with staff to track assets. Prepares various documents related to supply activities.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
  • This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
  • Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
