This position is open to Bureau of Reclamation current permanent employees and employees that meet Land Management Authority.
Duty Location: Alamosa, Colorado
Duties
This position functions as a Supply Technician for the Albuquerque Area Office (AAO) with duty stations in Alamosa, CO. The primary purpose of this position is to provide property management, supply, and procurement support.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Maintain and update motor vehicle reporting systems.
Oversee the receipt, unloading and storage of incoming shipments of equipment and supplies, either manually or with aid of a forklift.
Purchase supplies and equipment within the micro-purchase limit from General Services Administration and other Government agencies (mandatory sources).
Provide technical expertise in various supply, warehousing, and property management disciplines.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying:
Specialized Experience for the GS-06: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing three (3) of the following: : (1) applying federal supply regulations to procure goods and services; (2) utilizing computer-based programs (i.e. Microsoft Excel) to maintain and inventory property; (3) receiving and storing supplies and materials; or (4) maintaining and replenishing stock.
Specialized Experience for the GS-07: Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing four (4) of the following: (1) utilizing computer-based programs (i.e. Microsoft Excel) and Web based systems to maintain, report and inventory property; (2) receiving, storing, and distributing supplies and materials; (3) maintaining and updating motor vehicle reporting systems; (4) conducting preventative maintenance and service of government vehicles; or (5) conducting detailed searches for required supply information.
TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
One year at the GS-05 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-06 level.
One year at the GS-06 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level.
Applicants eligible under the Land Management Workforce Flexibility Act (LMWFA) are not required to meet time-in-grade restrictions in order to be considered.

One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as "varies".
Education
There is no substitution of education for experience at the grade level(s) of this announcement.
