This National Guard position is for a BUDGET ANALYST, Position Description Number T6355000 and is part of the FACILITY ENGINEERS, National Guard.
This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.

Duties
As a Budget Analyst, GS-0560-11, you will provide management oversight and guidance to the budget formulation and execution process.
Requirements
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Incumbent will be required to complete training in fiscal disciplines; Fiscal Law, Resource Management Information Course (RMIC), Contracting Officer Representative (COR), Automated Fund Control Order System (AFCOS).
- Work may require access to classified information. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance within 1 year of appointment.
- Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
- May be required to travel by car, in military and/or commercial aircraft, and by other means of transportation as appropriate to perform temporary duty assignments.
- Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Ability to plan and organize work. Competencies in analysis, research, writing, and judgment typically gained through college education or progressively responsible experiences. Ability to follow established methods and procedures; use practical knowledge of the operations, procedures, and policies of specific program areas or functional assignment.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
1 year equivalent to at least GS-9. Must have experience, education, or training of finance budget competencies that provided knowledge of financial principles and procedures. Candidate must have an excellent understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the National Guard financial budget business program requirements. A candidate must have experiences and training that demonstrates the abilities to follow directions, to read, retain, and understand a variety of instructions, regulations, policies, and procedures. Experience preparing budget requests consistent with guidance issued by NGB. Must have experience advising Program Managers (PMs) on the appropriate use of discretionary funds consistent with fiscal law. Experience developing supplemental guidance and instructions for operating officials on the preparation and submission of budget estimates and ensures a comparable level of funding to estimates and requests. Experience serving as the budgetary primary point of contact for issues relating to the Master Cooperative Agreements.
