You will serve as a AUDIOVISUAL PRODUCTION SPECIALIST in the TRAINING DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SCHOOL CEC OFFICERS.
Duties
You will serve as the Production and Broadcast Studio Manager overseeing the stand-up, operation, and maintenance of the school’s state-of-the-art satellite broadcast studio.
You will be the primary contact with supporting satellite broadcast activities in the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting/repair of broadcasting capabilities.
You will be the domain subject matter expert for multi-media production and design working in close coordination with course directors to develop visual media for use in training courses.
You will edit and produce on-site video and provide photographic support for curriculum development in support of the school’s mission requirements.
You will prepare sets in either a studio or on-location, configure lighting, and operate video, audio, and camera equipment in various locations in support of curriculum development.
You will develop Broadcast Studio standard operating procedures, policy directives, and establish a workplace safety program to ensure compliance with general occupational safety requirements.
You will provide recommendations to the multimedia master plan for future software and equipment purchases to enhance capabilities to deliver multi-media
events over satellite or the internet.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Work requires walking, bending, lifting, and carrying materials up to 40 pounds, work may be performed outdoors, or in an office area in an industrial building or shop.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Operating and maintaining broadcast studio equipment (to include cameras, microphones, computers, projectors, laptops, and training related hardware and software); 2) Assisting in developing and deploying marketing materials and visual aids to promote and advertise educational and training products; 3) Developing, maintaining, and managing client relationships to determine requirements for broadcast communication projects; and 4) Applying leadership skills and practical experience that enables teamwork by creating a collaborative environment that encourages participation from diverse groups and includes mentoring and coaching skills.

Education

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
