This HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY) position, is located within an Air National Guard Military Personnel Flight (MPF), Mission Support Group at an Air National Guard flying wing and is part of the CA 129 RQW.

Duties

THIS IS A T32 EXCEPTED SERVICE INDEFINITE POSITION Selectee may be non-competitively converted to permanent status if/when funding becomes available or position becomes unencumbered. The primary purpose of the HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY), GS-0203-7, is to assist a higher graded specialist in researching/studying/analyzing and administering all aspects of the assigned function(s). Performs duties in one or more program areas as described below. Incumbent identifies the scope or nature of a situation and determines the need for and obtains additional information through research of pertinent records, identifying trends and patterns, and/or review of technical reference material in order to resolve problems or controversies pertaining to human resources matters.

General Experience: Possess administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position; Experience using computer and automation systems. HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT (MILITARY), GS-0203-7: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-06 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience may also have been obtained in the private sector but must demonstrate that it is comparable to the GS grade indicated. Specialized experience may have been demonstrated by performing duties such as: Experience in the interpretation and application of regulations, procedures or laws; Experience that provided a working knowledge of administrative functions; Experience performing personnel transactions; Experience working independently and setting priorities with very little supervisory control.
