You will serve as a Physical Security Specialist for the Naval Intelligence Security Authority (NAVINTEL CSA)/SSO Navy with responsibilities of participating in the administration and implementation of a comprehensive Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security program regarding SCI facilities (SCIFs). This position is located in Arlington, VA in the NAVAL INTELLIGENCE ACTIVITY.
Duties
You will review and assess the implementation of physical security policy IAW delegated authorities of Director of Naval Intelligence/Head of Intelligence Community, Naval Intelligence Activity and the Commandant Unites States Marine Corps.
You will provide input as part of a team working to resolve security issues based on in-depth knowledge of SSO Navy SCI physical security operations.
You will input SCIF security data and maintain databases for all aspects of physical security required to process all-source material.
You will identify SCI physical security gaps, recommend action/requirements to bridge the gaps, and develop physical security tools and methodologies to cope with the gaps.
You will review and provide feedback on the impact of SCI policy, doctrines, and directives set forth by DNI, DoD, DIA, Director of Naval Intelligence and SSO Navy.
Requirements

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
- This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period requirement.
- Incumbent must achieve Security Professional Education Development (SPeD), Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC), and Certified SCIF Inspector Certification within 2 years of employment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector such as:
1) Planning and executing the security activities required, including interpreting, originating, or devising security methods or procedures, for SCI facilities (SCIFs) according to organizational standards;
2) Reviewing and assessing the implementation of physical security policies and recommending courses of action for the command;
3) Understanding, from a security standpoint, the wide range of policies, practices and procedures to review existing and preconstruction concept requests, construction security plans and work sheets, and fixed facility checklists that govern SCIFs;
4) Utilizing skills in inspection techniques sufficient to participate in or conduct security compliance inspections and security assistance visits.
