Duties

Serves as the technical expert/authority and project manager responsible for serving as the Cybersecurity(CS)/Privacy Specialist for Army Contracting Command (ACC). Administers and monitors compliance of programs which addresses CS/CS operations and readiness. Accomplishes technical, analytical, and advisory functions pertinent to the development of ACC-wide policies, plans, and processes covering Information Technology (IT) programs. Ensure command IT programs are in compliance with higher authority policies and guidelines Serves as ACC technical expert/authority on information assurance as the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)/Information Assurance Security Officer (CSSO). The ISSO plans, designs, develops, implements and manages CS programs that meet current and future business requirements. Cybersecurity Programs covers security management, software, hardware, procedural, network, internet, data communications, and Automated Information Systems (AIS) media security. Manages all aspects of CS and the development, implementation, interpretation, accreditation, risk management, and maintenance of detailed CS policies. Plans, develops, implements, and manages Command-wide programs, policies, and procedures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of IT automated systems, networks, and data. As the ACC technical authority, the ISSO provides technical, analytical and advisory support pertinent to the development of policies, plans, and processes covering the ACC. Performs technical and analytical work in planning, development, maintenance and use of communications systems, facilities, services, or procedures. Provides guidance to personnel on various Information Technologies and their development, integration and operational functions to support enterprise resource planning, systems analysis. Prepares reports and briefings for projects.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.

Performing technical, analytical, and advisory functions pertinent to the development of command policies, plans, for Information Technology (IT) programs. 2) technical and analytical work in communications systems, facilities, and services. 3) Providing information technology troubleshooting, assistance and guidance to customers; and 4) assignment of work of contractor employees, monitoring contractor performance, and setting priorities.
