About the Position: This position is located in San Antonio, Texas with the Defense Health Agency.
Duties
Reviews requirements, identifies project scope and processes, reviews specific issues, and oversees tests and analyses to help determine technical and operational requirements.
Receives and evaluates contractors' deliverables, formulates and coordinates Statements of Work, subtasks, and participates in contractors' In Process Reviews.
Integrates the various subsystems engineering products to ensure proper interfacing and attainment of established objectives.
Presents, analyzes, and verifies data, techniques, methodologies and formats associated with budget and program development.
Provides product/project advice to executive level managers.
Represents organization in meetings, conferences, and briefings, and provides product/project advice or elaborates on technical issues.
Utillizes strict Configuration Control methods to manage central hardware and software changes.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This Defense Acquisition Workforce position requires the incumbent to be Level III certified at time of assignment or able to acquire Level III certification within 24 months of assignment in the DAW career field of Program Management.

Basic Requirements for a PROGRAM MANAGER, GS-0340-14:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes analyzing information technology program resources, reviewing technical requirements for the implementation of product enhancements, and assisting with planning technological projects.
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
