THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SECURITY OFFICER - Title 5, Position Description Number T5804700 and is part of the WI 115 FW, Wisconsin Air National Guard.

Duties

This position is located at the unit level in the Special Security Division of an Air National Guard Air Operations Group Intelligence Directorate. Provides advice, counsels, and/or instructs pertinent AOG personnel on security and administrative regulations, policies, and concerns. Works with NSA, HQ AF/INXF, DIA and HQ AIA/SSO in establishing security procedures for the Air Operations Center weapon system during deployments and while stationed at home. Manages the SCI Personnel Security Program. Establishes procedures to identify current unit members requiring updated security investigations. Forwards and receives individual security clearance verification. When members who have access to SCI are deploying, Ensures that security clearances of deploying members with access to SCI are forwarded to the supporting SSO. Establishes entry procedures to provide positive identifications and circulation control within the unit's restricted and controlled areas. Oversees the unit SCI Communications (TEMPEST) security program according to applicable directives. *** This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. ***

Qualifications

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the GS-0080-11 position, you must have one year equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Experience, education or training in collecting and analyzing data effectively, efficiently, and accurately. Able to apply procedures and directives by reading and interpreting technical material. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing, using presentation and report formats. Candidate has knowledge of information protection and is able to coordinate with multiple agencies. Demonstrated ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Candidate has experience establishing and administering the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Personnel Security, Physical Security, Industrial Security, Operations Security, Information Security, Communications Security, and the Security Education Programs. Experience developing local directives establishing procedures for implementing applicable security programs. Experience managing the Sensitive Compartmented Information Security Program. Experience safeguarding Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) classified information to include being able to handle and care of equipment, personnel, information and program itself. Experience ensuring the unit's Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) meets DCI, NSA, DIA and AF physical security standards, and provides devices and intrusion detection system(s) which function properly. Experience assisting individuals in using the Electronic Personnel Security Questionnaire (EPSQ) to input required personal data for submission to the Defense Security Service (DSS) for security investigation. Candidate can validate and verify security investigations and security clearances. Candidate can oversee SCI Communications (TEMPEST) security program according to applicable directives.
