About the Position: This position is located within the Naval Hospital Jacksonville, FL. Work will be conducted in an office setting, 8 hour work days.
Duties
Reviews and edits performance evaluations and fitness reports.
Creates and maintains a fitness report database.
Provides advice on workflow including routine correspondence, as well as control and operation procedures to increase efficiency.
Serves as the command expert on administration and policies and procedures.
Makes an extensive review and analysis of all correspondence to include evaluations and fitness reports.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
- This position has mandatory seasonal Influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal Influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
- This position requires the incumbent to have Tuberculosis testing.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing performance evaluations and fitness reports for military personnel; and composing and routing correspondence for directorate and executive review. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS- 05 or above.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-5).
Proficiency Required: This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors.
Education
