Duties
Serves as a senior-level accountant and will serve in the capacity as the program manager of Audit Integrations in the Defense Logistics Agency's Payroll and Travel Program Office.
Development and monitoring of corrective action plans (CAPs) to address any identified deficiencies, with a particular focus on payroll, HR Systems, Travel, and other hire to retire business cycle requirements.
Coordinating efforts related to audit support in the hire-to-retire process while managing the development and implementation of enterprise-wide strategies aimed
cont. at achieving full auditability of General Fund, Working Capital Fund, and Transaction Fund financial statements.
Design, implement, and continuously improve internal control measures to mitigate risks associated with payroll and travel functions.
Prepare detailed financial reconciliation reports for audit purposes, documenting any discrepancies, corrective actions, and supporting explanations.

Qualifications
To qualify for an Accountant (Staff/Systems), your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Managing end to end audit processes in relation to Integration efforts. Coordinating with stakeholders on implementations of audit-compliant processes. Providing expert advisory services on audit functions.
