About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a Readiness Officer at DPTMS (Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobility, and Security) in Fort Sill, OK.
Duties
Develop local directives and special instructions for units to use to assure regulatory compliance and accurate reporting of the unit's status.
Maintain the Fort Sill Global Command and Control System Army (GCCS-A) database.
Represent the Fort Sill Installation Operations Center (IOC) during emergency deployments and mobilizations of Reserve Component forces deploying through Fort Sill.
Prepare classified documents for transfer and ensures couriers are properly cleared and authorized prior to releasing the document.
Install data processing hardware and software patches.
Establish and test communication equipment synchronization for the GCCS-A and DRRS-A Network.
Prepare charts, graphs, and other statistical information for presentations for leadership.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- Incumbent may be required to perform at least 10% TDY to various locations in performance of duties.
Qualifications
Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
Temporary Appointment NTE - Position may be filled as a Temporary Appointment NTE 1-Year. Temporary appointments may be extended up to a maximum of three (3) years.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1). Install data processing hardware and software patches to ensure information technology systems, software, and procedures meet security requirements; 2) Review system messages to determine system deficiencies and coordinate actions to resolve problems; 3) Prepare classified documents for transfer and ensure couriers are properly cleared and authorized prior to releasing documentation; and 4). Analyze data regarding manpower and equipment to ensure installation readiness.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
