About the Position: This position will serve as a Senior Program Manager for the Army Geospatial Center (AGC) (Enterprise Support Branch) with overall responsibility for geospatial architectures, standards, data models and certification initiatives on behalf of the Army's Geospatial Information Officer (GIO). Responsible for geospatial for the Army, and involve close coordination with DoD agencies, military services, industry, academia, and the private sector.

Duties

Develop, acquire, field, and sustain the world's best equipment and services through efficient leveraging of technologies and capabilities to meet current and future Army needs. Support senior Army acquisition officials and as the Army’s Senior Geospatial architect, standards, data model and certification lead. Provide geospatial program oversight, strategic planning, policy recommendations, and establishes goals and objectives for geospatial interoperability between Army and coalition partners. Coordinate issues, policies and/or guidance with multiple organizations and stakeholders. Serve as coach and facilitator in coordinating team initiatives and programs.

Requirements

  • This position requires you must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance and is designated non-critical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2-R.
  • This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) subject to applicant testing and random drug testing.
  • This position requires that you submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE Form 450, Executive Branch Personnel confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entrance to this position and annually thereafter.

Formulate geospatial policies and develop organizational goals for three or more of the following program areas (geospatial architectures, standards, data models, modeling and simulation and certification). Participate in the resolution of major issues impacting entire organizations . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
