About the position:
This position will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation on Robins AFB, GA.
Flexible employees have no guaranteed hours but may work up to 40 hours per week. This position does not offer benefits.
Must be able to lift and handle 50lbs consistently due to moving and lifting equipment such as chairs, tables, and kayaks.
Must be able to work in variable indoor/outdoor temperatures depending on the time of year.
Duties
Sets up recreation areas for scheduled activities; records attendance; takes reservations and payment for trips and tours; notifies participants of schedule changes; arranges for equipment or tools, charging them out to participants, and checking them for condition on their return; Processes RV Storage contracts; takes reservations and payment for equipment rental items; assists loading equipment for customer pickup/return; decorates community or neighborhood centers or recreation centers for special events, activities, or parties; set-up ski and snowboard packages; ensure cleanliness and organizes facility; checks the established safety system of indoor and outdoor recreation facilities and areas, tools, and equipment; posts announcements of scheduled activities and answers inquiries about item, place, transportation, or other matters related to activities scheduled; takes inventory of authorized recreation supplies and equipment; reports any damage to maintenance staff; and helps with group activities which require more than one staff monitor, performing specifically assigned tasks.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position has physical requirements which require the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess a valid state driver's license.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

Qualifying Experience:
Practical knowledge of recreational activities, rules, and procedures. Ability to safeguard and handle cash and skill in the use and maintenance of various recreational equipment and facilities are desirable; however, no experience is required.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
