Duties
Serves as senior technical expert on internal audit readiness functions in accordance with OMB Circular A123
Develops, designs and implements Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Department of Defense (DOD) or service
sponsored internal audit readiness and enterprise risk management initiatives.
Develops and provides briefings to a wide range of peer and management levels inside and outside of the agency
Identifying and assessing potential risks that could impact the achievement of the organization's objectives
Developing and implementing risk management strategies to mitigate or eliminate identified risks
Designing and implementing internal controls to ensure compliance with regulations and mitigate risks.
Conducting regular testing and monitoring of internal controls and risk management strategies to ensure their
effectiveness

Qualifications
To qualify for a Program Analyst, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Advanced understanding of OMB Circular A-123 and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) principles, as well as experience developing and implementing ERM frameworks.
Advanced understanding of Program / project management principles and application
Developing, designing, and implementing DLA, DoD or service/agency sponsored initiate/projects/programs to include detailed plans, goals, and objectives for the long-range implementation and administration.
Planning timelines and forecasting costs required for support, purchases, travel, and training expenditures.
Developing and implementing training / mentoring others.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
