About the Position: The position is with the Defense Health Agency, Puget Sound Market, Madigan Army Medical Center, Logistics and Facility Management Department located in Tacoma, WA.

Duties

Provide a central point of control for the distribution, management, inventory, maintenance, replacement, excess and disposal of a variety of medical and non-medical nonexpendable equipment Provide advice and guidance to managers and staff of supported organizations on property accountability and management functions, responsibilities and regulatory criteria. Monitors the automated hand receipt system Recommends system changes and automation improvements to higher headquarters and implements changes Coordinates maintenance and technical inspection of all non-medical equipment, medical equipment, and ADP equipment.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

  • This position may have a TDY or business travel requirement of 25% of the time

Specialized Experience: One year of Specialized experience at the GS-07 level which includes monitoring medical and non-medical acquisition supply equipment requirements and procedures, receiving, ordering, record keeping, issuing, storing, preserving, reutilizing, and disposing of supplies and equipment. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply or Logistics business or other equivalent field. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts). OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Inventory ManagementReading ComprehensionSupply PlanningWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
