About the Position: Serve as a Human Resources Specialist providing multi-functional human resource services in the Management Support Division, Army Review Boards Agency (ARBA), a Field Operating Agency (FOA) of the Assistant Secretary of the Army, Manpower and Reserve Affairs (ASA (M&RA)). Responsible for delivery of full-service civilian and military human resources programs to include performance management, performance awards, and time and attendance.
Duties
Provide guidance to leadership on Civilian and Military personnel requirements.
Identify staffing issues.
Recommend recruitment strategies.
Process a variety of personnel actions.
Analyze status reports to ensure accuracy.
Provide guidance to employees on leave, schedule, pay and awards.
Serve as program manager for a variety of military personnel programs.
Monitor DoD Performance Management and Appraisal Program (DPMAP).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Temporary duty travel may be required approximately 5% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes advising leadership on recruitment strategies; interpreting human resource regulatory guidance for agency compliance; and monitoring human resource programs such as performance management, performance awards, and time and attendance. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
