About the Position: This position is located with the Army Sustainment Command, 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Fort Myer, VA
Duties
Serve as the Accountable Officer in the Supply Support Activity (SSA) at Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) or separate activity for the US Army Sustainment Command (ASC).
Responsible for the administration and maintenance of an automated property management system and related systems and operations including: comprehensive and detailed stock control databases.
Coordinates decisions and commitments with the Installation Supply Representative (ISR) on behalf of the US Government.
Responsible for the administration and maintenance of an automated property management system and related systems and operations including: managing this high dollar record account by directing, approving and validating inventories.
Responsible for the administration and maintenance of an automated property management system and related systems and operations including: conducting research, and approving documentation of issues and turn-ins.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation is required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includesincludes 1) utilizing proper policies when completing purchases for the organization; 2) maintaining an automated property management system; 3) updating current stock record accounts for all accountable property; and 4) administering property disposal system for excess accountable property. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
OR
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in afield which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management or Logistics Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
