About the Position: This position is for a Power Plant Electrician A, WB-2810-00 with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa Operations Division Technical Support Branch/Hydro Sec RS Kerr Master Plant Denison Plant Tulsa, OK Located in Denison, Texas. This is a Bargaining Unit Position.

Duties

Performs maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment used for remote operation of three satellite power plants. Makes written reports are required. Assists in estimating quantities and cost of materials, parts and tools, and maintaining sufficient stock level for operating and emergency needs. Participate in on-the-job training for powerhouse trainees as required.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment physical examination and an annual examination.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Drug screening and random drug testing.
  • Possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.

Ability To Do The Work Of The position Without More Than Normal SupervisionAbility to Use Electrical DrawingsKnowledge of Electrical EquipmentTrouble shooting (electrical) WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is normally performed inside cramped positions in damp and slippery areas. Employee is subject to falls from ladders and is in danger of electrocution while working on high-voltage equipment. Safe work practices are an integral part of this position. Incumbent is required to know, comply with, and promote prescribed safety rules and regulations.
