The Office of Human Research and Community Engagement in the Clinical Research Branch at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences is seeking a Public Health Analyst with experience related to planning, coordinating and implementing public health and assigned research programs involving community engagement, outreach, community-based research, and implementation science, and clinical research.
Although not required, the ideal candidate would have a Masters in Public Health
Duties
Serves as a public health expert in developing, planning, coordinating, monitoring, implementing, and evaluating current or projected complex, interrelated public health and clinical / research programs within the Office of Human Research and Community Engagement (OHRCE) involving governmental and non-governmental organizations and individuals from multiple sectors e.g. local, state, national and/or international levels.
Analyzes existing or proposed systems, strategies, services, or other health-related matters for long range implementation and administration of programs.
Provides technical advice, and assistance in the assigned area of responsibility. Identifies opportunities and problem areas, research gaps and relevant program needs.
Seeks out and pinpoints new research based on program needs.
Designs solutions and provide suggestions concerning program direction (formulating short- and long-range program goals, objectives, and policies),
Coordinates the use of various support mechanisms to achieve a balanced program within approved resource priorities and funding ensuring alignment with program objectives.
Makes recommendations, serves as a technical advisor to OHRCE Director.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for the GS-13 grade level
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS- 12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: utilizing administrative and program management methods to work on multiple projects simultaneously; developing, and implementing current or projected complex public health and clinical research programs; formulating short-and long range goals/objectives/ policies for public health research programs; providing recommendations on future public health efforts based on program needs, or health assessments; coordinating community engagement or outreach activities, advisory planning committees or workgroups to discuss and implement public health programs.
