The primary purpose of the position is to assist in the maintenance, repair, and stabilization of structures and sites built of stone and mortar. This is a term position (more than 1 year) with an initial appointment to last at least 13 months but may be extended up to a total of nine years. Duties

The major duties of the position Masonry Worker include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for the maintenance, repair, alteration, and construction of exterior and interior surfaces and structures of brick, stone and block Repairs and maintains historic masonry on buildings, parapets, fences, chimneys, walls, etc. Must be able to perform a variety of complex brickwork Removing damaged portions of walls or other similar architectural features in preparation for repair of damage, stabilization and original fabric.
