Duties
You will serve as the principal advisor to senior managers on the development, implementation and, revision of financial management policies, plans, and programs.
You will facilitate the effective, efficient, and timely application of financial resources to achieve the mission of the organization.
You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration.
You will formulation of budget and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities.
You will review and evaluate budget requests; control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures.
You will generate, recommend, and implement new and revised financial managementconcepts, internal controls, methodologies, policies, and strategies in support of the organization’s programs.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience providing concepts, principles, laws, and regulations of financial administration or budget sufficient to generate new concepts and methodologies in the field.
Experience preparing briefs for senior managers on program execution and provides recommendations to correct program variances or problem areas.
Experience developing format and content to provide manager with various listing, reports, and data relative to status of funds and the propriety of obligations
