Duties
You will implement and enforce security policies, standards, and methodologies to enhance cybersecurity (CS) operations in support of the Joint Deployable Intelligence Support System (JDISS) mission.
You will assess the effectiveness of implemented IT security features and operations for the safeguarding of classified information on information technology (IT) systems.
You will assess risks, monitor networks and databases, and create risk management plans.
You will perform system audits on multiple platforms and implement processes and technologies that help highlight anomalies that can be evaluated to ensure Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability is not compromised.
You will maintain day to-day security posture and continuous monitoring of Intel Services IT including security event log/audit review and analysis
You will participate in the change management process, reviewing Change Requests and assessing the security impact of proposed changes
You will monitor system recovery processes to ensure security features are properly restored and functioning correctly after an outage
Requirements

- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET-SCI security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 802 Intermediate Level.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- Generally, current Federal employees applying to APS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. All qualifications and pay band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and documented in your resume.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or DP-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Implementing and enforcing all cybersecurity policies and procedures.
