You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Plans, Policies, and Operations - Joint Intermediate Force Capabilities Office of the HQ US MARINE CORPS".
Duties
You will initiate security clearance investigations for assigned employees.
You will serve as the organizations senior point of contact with all government investigative agencies performing security background investigations.
You will review the command facilities and make recommendations to the Director for adequately protecting of the facilities.
You will implement policies on the handling of classified material in accordance with all applicable directives from higher authority.
You will manage the Industrial Security program to ensure classified materials are released only to cleared contractors.
You will directly supervise division security personnel.
You will assign recurring work and special projects to subordinate personnel.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must submit to Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) that must be adjudicated to DCID 6/4 standards by a determining authority.
- You may be required to undergo and successfully complete a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination.
- You must obtain a Contracting Officer Representative (COR) certification within 12 months of employment.
- You will be required to serve a one-year supervisory probationary period.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, development, and implementation of policy, management, administration, evaluation, and internal management control of all facets of security to include: SCI, SAP, physical, industrial, and information security; information systems, and operational security.
