This position serves as an Administrative Officer for the St. Louis Flight Standards District Office.
Duties
Serves as the Administrative Officer in a Flight Standards functional area. Performs multiply and varying assignments under the limited direction of the manager. Acts as an individual contributor and/or may serve as a team leader on various projects.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
- Interviews may be conducted.
Qualifications
To qualify at the G level for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to FV-F (FG/GS 5/7/9) level. Specialized experience is: Experience applying management principles, methods, and techniques to solve the problems of the organization. Experience with the general management of an organization. Experience developing and securing for the fiscal and business resources and services needed to manage and operate an organization.To qualify at the H level for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to FV-G (FG/GS 10/11) level. Specialized experience is: Experience applying management principles, practices, methods, and techniques to solve the problems of the organization; experience integrating management services with the general management of an organization; experience developing and securing the fiscal and business resources and services needed to manage and run an organization. Experience performing systematic general management reviews and audits to reach conclusions and make recommendations.This position may be filled at the FV-G or FV-H level. If filled at the FV-G level, this announcement does not constitute a commitment or an obligation on the part of management to promote the employee selected at some future date. Promotion will depend upon the selectee meeting all training, qualification requirements, and recommendation by the supervisor.
Education
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION for the G Band: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. Education may be combined with experience to meet the one year required specialized experience.
Education cannot be substituted for experience at the FV-H level.
