About the Position: This position is located at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, FL in the Material Management, Contracting Department. Work is conducted in an office setting, 8 hour workdays. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation utilizing DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & the Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB).

Duties

Make purchases for a wide variety of medical supplies, equipment, and other services supporting hospital operations through the use of simplified acquisition procedures. Coordinate with requesting customers to obtain information needed to support or complete purchase requests. Maintain required records, reports, correspondence, documents, etc. to support procurement actions. Research stock numbers, catalog numbers, part number, nomenclature, units of issues, special codes, manufacture codes, packaging and handling codes, open/closed records, partial shipments, etc. Prepare modifications to orders as needed. Review quotes for price reasonableness and determine if the requirements for competition have been meet.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.
• This position has mandatory seasonal Influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal Influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
• This position requires the incumbent to have Tuberculosis testing.
• Foundational Career Level Certification or Contracting Professional Certification must be met within 3 years.
• Practitioner Career Level Certification must be met within 5 years.
• Advanced Career Level Certification must be met within 4 years.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes maintain detailed purchase card transaction information; provide receipts on goods received through purchase order software; and make purchases for a range of equipment, services and/or commodities through the use of small purchase procedures.
