This position is in the Office of Intramural Training & Education (OITE), Office of Intramural Research (OIR) in the Office of the Director (OD). The OITE is responsible for the administration of a variety of programs and activities designed to facilitate the recruitment and professional development of high school, undergraduate, doctoral, and postdoctoral trainees in the Intramural Research Program (IRP).
Duties
As a Supervisory Management Analyst, your duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
Provides leadership for the dissemination of management program information to OITE offices and organizational components and ensuring the team's efforts are effective and employ the most up-to-date practices and technologies.
Develops operating guidelines and standards for the branch to ensure consistency in methods and practices.
Identifies, evaluates, and implements methods and systems that enhance operating efficiency; redefines objective and redirects team efforts and policies resulting from CBA stipulations, legislative changes, new directives, delegated authorities, and programs.
Provides for the effective use of information technology (IT) and operations studied by the branch within the OITE;
Directs the translation of work requirements for the Fellows Management Branch into the design and implementation of IT applications to enhance the ability of the branch to access and analyze data.
Establishes and maintains automated databases to facilitate decision-making by management officials.
Serves as a senior adviser to OITE management officials; provides advice on a wide range of administrative management program functions at all levels and conducts or directs the conduct of studies involving problems of program and/or administrative relationships relative to functional areas of responsibility operational methods and procedures, cost reductions, and the utilization of resources.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Management Analyst position at the GS-0343-14 level, you must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: conducting in-depth studies of the effectiveness and efficiency of policies, regulations, and procedures regarding management programs; providing technical advice on implementing IT applications to access and analyze data; recommending more efficient, effective, and economical ways to accomplish management program workloads and objectives and training employees on best practices and techniques on a variety of administrative topics.
