You will serve as a Traffic Management Specialist in the Personal Property and Passenger Transportation Section (LPD-2) of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will plan, coordinate, synchronize, and provide oversight of Marine Corps policy and procedures in support of joint Department of Defense policy for personal property and passenger transportation programs.
You will serve as the Marine Corps functional liaison with the U.S. Transportation Command’s Air Mobility Command and Office of the Secretary of Defense’s Defense Travel Management Office.
You will serve as a Marine Corps staff expert, providing technical expertise and managerial oversight on the movement of Marine Corps passengers and personal property.
You will be responsible for assisting Marine Corps Distribution Management Offices (DMO), uniformed service members and civilian employees in solving personal property and passenger related problems.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Developing, analyzing, and implementing personal property and passenger transportation policies and procedures; 2) Monitoring execution of personal property and passenger transportation traffic and distribution functions to ensure compliance with mandated legal requirements; 3) Serving as technical expert within the realm of procurement concerning personal property and passenger transportation services; 4) Reviewing legislative proposals and regulations to assess impact on organization's personal property and passenger transportation program initiatives; 5) Representing organizational position on high level working groups, performance action teams, and/or committees to resolve issues arising from the movement of passengers and personal property within assigned organizational area; and 6) Briefing senior leaders on progress and recommendations pertaining to transportation programs.
