This vacancy is for a GS -0080 -11, Security Specialist located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, BASE DETACHMENT NORTH BEND, OR.

Duties
You will serve as a Security Specialist and be responsible for the management and education of personnel security clearance; physical security plans, including Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) and Active Shooter/Active Threat (AS/AT) scenarios for the Base Detachment and other agreed upon or sites; will provide technical/expert advice and assistance to all visiting cutters and tenants units.
Qualifications
To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, applicants must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Specialized experience must include the following:
Identifying security vulnerabilities to perform the personnel, physical, and other elements of a security program
Using technology in planning and implementing protective methods and security procedures.
Ability to conduct complex security briefings to variety of audiences.
Making recommendations regarding security methods, procedures, and policies.
Knowledge of the eQIP program.
Or
PH.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
Or
3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree
Or
LL.M., if related
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
