Duties
As a Program Operations Assistant you will:
Serve as organizational point for the administration and maintenance of several integrated electronic administrative management tracking systems.
Receive, read, and prepare responses to incoming correspondence as requested based upon content and topic.
Perform administrative duties for seminars, small work groups, and conferences that involve Center staff.
Serve as time clerk for the Branch and/or Team and back-up to the official Division timekeeper as needed, and as such is responsible for the electronic processing and transfer of time and attendance records using the CDC/IS mainframe system.
Receive and answer telephone and personal inquiries from officials within CDC, DHHS, other Federal agencies, members of Congress, state agencies, foreign visitors, and national organizations.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-07 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level, which must include the following experience: planning, coordinating and performing administrative tasks such as preparing reports and correspondence, making travel arrangements, and scheduling meetings to support program activities.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
