About the Position: Serves as a Public Affairs Specialist in the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) Public and Congressional Affairs Office.
Duties
Serves as a digital/social media, videographer, and photojournalism strategist by leveraging broad knowledge of social media, online presence tactics, photojournalist storytelling, and video for internal and external communications.
Develops, manages, and coordinates the US Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command’s digital media, internet, intranet and web page content.
Manages the content of TACOM’s internet and intranet and web-based services and sites and creates and revises web pages.
Developing or modifying products into web-friendly formats; and managing the command’s interactive digital media program and efforts.
Formulates strategies to ensure TACOM takes the best advantage of digital media and its platforms.
Makes informed data-driven decisions for TACOM’s social media strategy.
Plans, organizes, coordinates and reviews information published to the command’s authorized public websites as well as the public affairs section of the command’s internal portal, and maintains oversight of all command social media platforms.
Works with AMC and TACOM subordinate organizations to execute integrated digital communications plans across the TACOM enterprise.
Uses the web as a communication channel and uses best public affairs practices to identify and pursue new and innovate ways to tell the TACOM story.

Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience to include: 1) Knowledge of the principles, methods, practices and techniques of communication sufficient to independently produce and manage visual storytelling, digital and social media content. 2) Skills in producing multimedia presentations and products for various internal and external groups. 3) Experience in conducting real-time digital media engagements during events and ceremonies. 4) Experience using a full range of equipment from mobile stabilizers, cameras, and video cameras. 5) Skill in creating digital, social media, video and photojournalistic content for communications campaigns. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
